BUNGALOW WITH POTENTIAL FOR REDEVELOPMENT COMES TO MARKET
A detached bungalow with almost an acre of gardens and potential for redevelopment is for sale near Knaresborough, with a guide price

A Silsden based construction site manager has won a prestigious award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) in recognition of the quality and craftsmanship delivered at a new homes development at Brow Top in Glusburn.
Andrew Snell is a director at Snell Developments, which is the company behind the 22-home scheme, and was one of the few site managers selected from more than 8,000 entries, to receive the NHBC’s Pride in the Job 2026 Quality Award. This is the sixth time Andrew has won the award for sites across this area.
There are now just three homes still for sale at Brow Top, which is being marketed by leading estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley’s new homes division.
The remaining detached homes offer four, five and six bedrooms and are built using natural stone, with high specification interiors, good-sized gardens and Indian stone-flagged patios. They all enjoy far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside.
Andrew said: “As a family business that has built homes around Skipton, Keighley and Ilkley for almost 50 years, it’s a huge honour to have our consistently high standards of work recognised by the NHBC.
“Most of our team live and work locally, and we all have a vested interest in going the extra mile and taking pride in the attention to detail which has enabled us to build such a strong reputation over so many decades. This award and the success of Brow Top are both testament to this.”
Mark Kane, from Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Skipton office, said: “Brow Top is an exceptional development in a popular village that’s surrounded by magnificent countryside between Skipton, Keighley and Ilkley. Snell Developments has a superb reputation locally, so the development has been very popular, and we’d urge anyone interested in the last remaining homes to contact us now to avoid disappointment.
“A Pride in the Job Quality Award is the highest industry accolade a site manager can receive. It represents success for the site manager, their team and associated trades – but most importantly, homeowners who buy a Pride in the Job winning home knowing that it’s the highest quality product and we know house hunters won’t be disappointed when they see what’s on offer at Brow Top.”
The Snell family have been building homes since 1977 with Andrew’s parents starting the business, before handing the reigns to Andrew and his brother John. Other recent developments include Cobbydale Way in Silsden and Lumb Mill Farm in Glusburn.
