A beautiful four-bedroom end townhouse that combines a sleek and contemporary finish with traditional character, in a highly sought after mill conversion that’s surrounded by magnificent countryside in the Nidderdale village of Glasshouses, is for sale on our website.

Set in a prime location within the recently converted Grade II listed Glasshouses Mill development, which is just a mile from Pateley Bridge, the property offers an open plan living space on the ground floor with a modern kitchen, which is a perfect entertaining space.

The first floor is again spacious and light, boasting three bedrooms, one with en-suite and a house bathroom, both of which having underfloor heating and heated towel rails. The second floor features a versatile loft style living space, which could be used as a bedroom or for recreation purposes.

Outside there is a good sized stone entertaining terrace that offers countryside views and is filled with sunshine in the summer months.

Alison Reilly, from our Pateley Bridge office, said: “We’ve sold several homes in Glasshouses Mill and it’s always popular due to it being within easy walking distance of Pateley Bridge, along the River Nidd, and surrounded by lovely countryside.

“This home is one of the best in the development and offers very spacious and flexible living accommodation, as well as lots of character features including sash windows and exposed beams, as well as benefitting from a large outdoor terrace and garden, which will appeal to anyone looking for a very stylish home in a tranquil location.”

Glasshouses Mill dates back to the 1700s and was originally a corn mill. When Nidderdale became the centre of Yorkshire’s flax and linen industry in the early 19th century, Glasshouses Mill grew into a major complex, complete with its own gasworks, rail stop and reservoir, that processed linen and hemp.

The mill eventually closed in 1972 and sat empty for several decades before it was transformed into 32 family homes, apartments and cottages, by North Yorkshire property developer Newby, with work completing in 2020.

Number 26 Glasshouses Mill is priced at £530,000. For more details contact us on 01423 711010.
