Dacre Son & Hartley’s specialist investors service was launched in 2009 to encourage investors to go back to ''bricks and mortar" as an alternative to other traditional investments that have proved uncertain in the current economic climate.

This initiative was devised by David Phillip, a Director based at Otley Office, who felt that re-investing in property could be a more attractive option to say bank or building savings, especially when property prices appear competitive. Property can produce good returns, particularly on capital in the long term. David comments that "within the company, we’ve identified as many as nearly 200 properties as being of interest to 'buy to let' purchasers, with not a dissimilar number of specialist buyers registered."

Not only can we source buyers for the properties, but our in house facilities mean we can let and manage the properties too, post acquisition. 'The Investor Club' is operated by identifying the individual needs of a particular buyer which is then matched against an extensive database of properties, tailor picked by experienced managers based at the firms sales offices in the core Yorkshire region as suitable for investment. The information can either be emailed or posted to suit individual preference as and when property comes onto the market.

This unique selection process is then regularly overseen by David to ensure that investors are kept suitably informed of the opportunities available. Many have commented on the choice and quality of the information that is available and allows buyers to keep abreast of evolving trends. Town centre properties close to railway stations have proved very popular indeed, as have 3 and 4 bedroom family homes which appeal to those who are between homes and 'sitting' on cash in the bank.

Other buyers that have been emerging include parents looking on behalf of their children as a means of enabling them to get a foot hold on the property ladder.
